The professional titles "Steuerberater", "Steuerberaterin" and "Steuerberatungsgesellschaft" are statutory professional titles and were awarded in the Federal Republic of Germany (Federal State of Berlin).

The profession of German tax advisors is essentially subject to the following professional regulations:

Professional liability insurance is in place with Nürnberger Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG, 90334 Nuremberg, Germany, under insurance policy no. H5417005478.
The agreed minimum sum insured is EUR 1,000,000 in the event of a claim.
The maximum annual claimable amount is EUR 4,000,000.

Out-of-court dispute resolution proceedings
The competent Berlin Chamber of Tax Consultants conducts mediation proceedings in the event of disputes between tax consultants and clients upon request in accordance with Section 76 (2) No. 3 StBerG. It also provides more detailed information on this.
